The Dundee Spider

in Dundee there is a spider

with no name or eyes

a fiddle rests on every shoulder

the spider plays a lament for flies

come to me my dinner

come to me my friend

I’ll feast away your story

I’ll be the author

of the end

strings and maggots

weep for mothers lost

into web
